Celebrate Summer
Gardens
Chalk-painted wooden accessories, stencilled fabric table items, name cards and more, this multi-material workshop is a wonderful introduction to the versatility of stencil printing. Create floral inspired designs to brighten your home or make thoughtful handmade gifts to give away.
With a generous selection of projects to enjoy during the day, you can choose whether to focus more on fabric printing or painted decorative items.
From a useful little tea tray and coasters to napkins and a printed textile piece that works equally well hung in the kitchen or laid on a table, there will be plenty of creative opportunities to explore.
Bring along a small pot of your favourite household emulsion paint and I’ll introduce you to a little chalk paint making magic on the day.
As with all of my workshops, the session is designed to suit both complete beginners and more experienced crafters alike.
Using my pre-made garden and wildflower inspired stencils, you’ll begin by learning the basics of handling paint successfully on both fabric and hard surfaces. I’ll demonstrate a variety of brush techniques to help you create richly layered patterns and decorative effects with confidence.
Stencil printing is a wonderfully rewarding and relaxing craft - a lovely way to upcycle, breathe new life into existing belongings, and enjoy the creative process.
The techniques you learn during the workshop will give you the confidence and know-how to continue decorating and creating at home.
