Following on from the success of the Spring course, I'm again calling all textile crafters to come and try their hand at something new and unique!
In a relaxed morning or full day session, enjoy the inky fun of stencil printing seasonal seed heads & flower designs onto fabric.

 

With your skilfully patterned material, you’ll create a set of charming hoop art pieces, ready for adding simple embroidery should you choose. 

 

The morning will start with learning the basic techniques for the art of stencil printing on fabric —how to build up delicate detail and form through tonal colour, including subtle layering using her beautifully crafted pre-made stencil shapes. Seasonal & poppy seed heads, rich autumnal flowers and grasses will be the theme of this workshop.

 

Extend the morning workshop into the afternoon either to print more fabrics, or to start adding simple yet pleasing embroidery. You will learn easy to sew stitches that will further enhance your designs, as well as how to split and blend different coloured embroidery threads to create beautiful blending effects. By the end of the day, you'll take away a selection of stencil printed projects as well as the knowledge and confidence to continue the relaxing creativity at home.

 

This course offers a wonderful chance for guided personal creativity, resulting in bespoke home decorations to cherish or give as thoughtful gifts.

The fabric and two stencil hoops are included in the workshop, plus my own hand mixed fabric paints will be available to use.
