Nature Inspired Lampshade & Base
Design and make a beautiful botanical lamp for
the home by hand printing your own contemporary drum lampshade and pairing it with a favourite glass bottle to create a truly personal piece inspired by nature.
Enjoy a relaxed, friendly and informative day as you learn how to stencil print fabric using ready-made botanical stencils and hand-blended fabric paints, before assembling your lampshade for a professional finish.
Along the way you'll gain plenty of tips, techniques and creative inspiration, making the workshop perfect for complete beginners as well as those who have stencilled before.
Your finished lamp will be ready to display at home that very day, thanks to the included bottle lamp conversion kit – so there's no need to buy a separate lamp base.
Bring along either a clear or coloured glass bottle to make your design uniquely yours. Fill a clear bottle with dried seed heads, grasses or flowers gathered from your own walks or garden for a naturally styled display, or let a beautifully coloured bottle become the feature in its own right.
Whether your inspiration comes from treasured seasonal finds or a favourite bottle, you'll create a striking home accessory that reflects your own style.
Drum lampshade & bottle lamp conversion kit (retail value £20), fabric & dried botanicals will be supplied on the day.
Aprons will be available on the day, but best to wear clothes you are happy to get mucky.
