Print & Make your own Lampshade
An immersive day of learning, by the end you will have gained two wonderful new skills, to stencil print and make a professional style lampshade.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, with full step-by-step learning throughout the day.
Using nature-inspired stencils, you’ll hand-print wild flowers, grasses, leaves and seed heads. The initial part of the morning is all about learning to create the botanical shapes, practice and build confidence. The next stage is stencilling your pattern onto the lampshade fabric, again with plenty of support and help for composition and design. An attractive selection of pre-mixed paints will be ready for your use, the only challenge is choosing which colours you want to stencil with.
The final stage of the afternoon is learning how to construct your drum lampshade, again with plenty of hints and tips for achieving professional looking results.
All materials supplied, including the kit to make a 30cm diameter Lampshade.
Aprons will be available on the day, but best to wear clothes you are happy to get mucky.
Morning and afternoon refreshments are included, please bring a packed lunch with you.
